It has to be well-planned. Once there is no helping hands, the final outcome is you are the final one to complete the task. Delegation is important, but it can only be done when manpower is available. When everyone has gone, it is the management's responsibility to ensure things can get done but not their subordinates, so they should plan the delegation well. The management has no excuse to pass the ball to anyone else. The subordinates have no reason and responsibility to follow up for you, except when they are officially designated to do so.
