Get up at 8am, shit, must be late, but today I am not going back to office but to client’s office in Sai Wan, therefore it is not a problem and I just moved in normal motion.
Client told me that there is a minibus going from Kwun Tong to Sai Wan. The terminus in Kwun Tong is not easy to find and I end up in arriving at client’s office at 9:45am, hehe……. When I arrived, door of our working room was opened and I saw all staff in the office were in the room and they were eating cakes. Oh! They are having a birthday party and there was a big birthday cake on the table. All of them smiled to me when I was standing next to them carrying my workbag. Happier is that they invited me to join their party and they gave me a slice of the nice cake. Cool that I had such a nice and surprising breakfast.
My colleague was even later than me since I asked her to go back to office to get some stationery before going to client’s office. When she arrived, she was also shocked that she saw all of us were standing in the room and having a birthday happily. Of course she was also invited and given a nice slice of birthday cake.
More surprise is coming. The Accounting Manager told me that they would order Genki sushi for lunch and they will include me and my colleague. I was super excited because no client had treated auditors so well so far. 1 o’clock quickly arrived and we had to tidy up our table for the Genki lunch. They ordered many sushi, rice rolls and delicious snacks, which all are my favourites! They said it was their first time to order Genki and this lunch was about $700 and they are very happy. The staff thanked us because the director allowed them to treat this lunch as Company expense and all of us did not need to pay. They said we are VIP and because VIPs come to their office, they can have such a benefit. The Accounting Manager even asked me how long we will stay in their office so that they can tell their director VIP want to eat this and eat that so that they can also enjoy. At the end, I ate much because many of them are girls and women. We are being put on the table, haha…….
There is also another surprise at night. I had dinner in Mongkok tonight. I was walking to take bus back home and suddenly a girl stopped me slightly. She said she had looked at me and followed me for a few minutes and would like to invite me to join their team. (What team?) She is a model agent and her company is looking for models for government advertisements and she gave me her name card. I was shocked and just say I am in hurry and have no interest in it, and then I walked away and she politely asked me to return the name card to her. Now I think, I should not reject her so quickly since I want to listen what she will continue to say and see how interesting her story is and I should retain her name card because I forgot her company’s name. Next time, if any, I will be more calm, haha……..
